LAWYER 2B Law For Non-Law - Careers Evening
Did you know you don’t need a law degree to start out on your career as a Lawyer? Lawyer 2B’s Law for non law careers evening is an event designed specifically to guide and engage with students who have not studied a law degree but wish to pursue a career in law.
Law firms are increasingly keen to attract high calibre students with a non-law background. Why? Many law firms and chambers prize the additional skills and experiences that students from a non-law background bring to the organisation.
So if the idea of becoming a solicitor or barrister appeals to you, then what better way to find out how than by attending Lawyer 2B's brand new free legal careers evening held in association with The University of Law.
This unique careers evening will comprise of a series of informative presentations, interactive workshops and informal networking. Our opening presentations will focus on legal education and why firms recruit non law students these will also help you to make sense of applying for the appropriate postgraduate courses and training contracts. Our smaller interactive workshops will have an inspirational focus and be presented by associates / trainees and barristers from non-law backgrounds. The informal mini law fair will give you an opportunity to network with the graduate recruitment teams, trainees, barristers and education providers over drinks & snacks.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Attendance is by invitation only and is subject to applicants meeting the criteria below and submitting an accurate application form:
- High achieving penultimate or final year non-law undergraduates currently studying at a UK university
- High calibre graduates who have completed a non-law undergraduate degree and are looking to enter the profession
- High calibre postgraduate students who have completed or are currently undertaking the graduate
diploma in law / CPE or current LPC students who have come from a non law background
